I’ve noticed in modern marketing all the phrases in the comic above. I does seem like the powers that be are targeting our increasing self-centered society. It seems like a lot of brands are offering packages so when you hunting to buy a gift it makes it seem like they are enticing the buyer to reward themselves with a free gift included in the purchase. Sometimes it is nice to enjoy the small things and not be pressured into buying more, but if you were already planning on buying a certain present for someone, I guess it’s nice that the companies are including an extra bonus. As long as you are aware to their hypnotizing ways.
