Approved by Kickstarter!

HIP HIP HOORAY! The SKETCH BEFORE SLEEEP 365 book project is approved by Kickstarter! Kickstarter is an online pledge system and fundraising platform for creative projects and I plan on moving forward with the fundraising effort.

Before the pledge drive goes live, I want to make a film for the campaign and also get all the donor rewards in order. I have some ideas in mind, such as: the SKETCH BEFORE SLEEP 365 book, digital and traditional sketch commissions or sketch requests, various sized prints of my sketches, Curls Studio’s self-published comics, a poster featuring all 365 sketches, one-of-a-kind sketch cards, limited edition prints and more. I can also make a local appearance (within two hours of the Washington, DC area) to discuss the project at a book store, school or comic book shop. I also hope to add an offer of drawing someone into my Curls Webcomic for at least one strip. Astray Productions also plans on contributing a photo or film prize package in honor of the project.

Now that I have done a sketch everyday for 365 days in my SKETCH BEFORE SLEEP project, I plan on creating a 365 book that I hope to publish with donations on Kickstarter, an online pledge system and fundraising platform for creative projects. I still have six sketches to post in anticipation for the pledge drive. Printing the book will be more expensive than my previous projects because this book will be in full-color and I’ll need your support. Right now I am organizing materials for the book and getting some background work done before I apply to Kickstarter.

I will let you know more when the pledge drive starts, but I’m already starting to think about rewards for donors, including: The SKETCH BEFORE SLEEP 365 book, digital and traditional sketch commissions, various sized prints, previously self-published comic books, sketch cards, SKETCH BEFORE SLEEP custom requests and more!
