There are two weeks more to go with the “Harvey Pekar Library Statue: Comics as Art & Literature Desk” Kickstarter<\/a> fundraiser and during this time, I ask you please consider donating. \nI met Harvey in 2005 when I was a volunteer at Small Press Expo. Joe and I have fond memories of only being around him for brief moments.<\/p>\n

So if you have some extra change, consider donating to the Kickstarter. Joyce also suggested having an American Splendor<\/a> viewing party and passing a laptop (or hat) around to raise money. Either way, if Harvey impacted you life in comics, as a artist or writer, or life observations in general… please consider this project.<\/p>\n
