Kids ages 8-12 along with their adult chaperones participated in several activities and spent the night next to America\u2019s most important papers: the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Local TV news channels <a href=\"http:\/\/dcw50.com\/2017\/02\/05\/national-archives-hosts-kids-parents-for-a-night-in-the-museum\/\" target=\"_blank\">DCW50<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wusa9.com\/news\/local\/students-sleep-over-at-national-archives\/398933627\" target=\"_blank\">WUSA9<\/a> covered the event. &#8220;Design Your Own Superhero&#8221; is the art activity I lead. We had a great time talking about different super powers and abilities.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-hS349gXinf4\/WJjkxZA1O-I\/AAAAAAAAEpo\/7STrTUEWH3UxS6w0M4uvlEDMZsQ-9sDoACLcB\/s1600\/drawings_archives_feb2017.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-hS349gXinf4\/WJjkxZA1O-I\/AAAAAAAAEpo\/7STrTUEWH3UxS6w0M4uvlEDMZsQ-9sDoACLcB\/s320\/drawings_archives_feb2017.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I&#8217;ve heard a lot of positive reviews in the past when &#8220;What activity did you like the best?&#8221; feedback was received:<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 making a superhero was my favorite activity<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 the picture room with the comic books<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 create your own superhero<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 I really liked righting the letter to the president, and the super hero pictures<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 create your own superhero because I got to be creative<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 I liked creating my superhero because I want to be one<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>More images and content can be found using hashtag #ArchivesSleepover.
